He also held other key management positions in various companies in the Philippines and Singapore.

Antonio Go pioneered the credit card industry in the Philippines, which in turn led to the founding of Equitable Card Network (ECN), the largest credit card issuer and acquirer in the Philippines. It was also the only card issuer that simultaneously carried the four global credit card brands, namely VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB. In addition, ECN had the widest Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal network in the country.

The Equicom Group, under the stewardship of Group Chairman Antonio L. Go and Vice Chairman Rene J. Buenaventura, will be a significant niche player in the Philippine market over the next several years as it takes full advantage of its pool of talent and strength in technology to serve corporate and individual clients in the areas of healthcare, financial services, and information technology.
