Go Kim Pah Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was organized as a non-stock, non-profit organization in honor of Go Kim Pah, who founded Equitable Bank in 1950. The objective of the Foundation is to contribute to the capital market in the Philippines through correct credit information and credit rating. The Foundation seeks to work cooperatively with the public and private sectors, focusing on good financial governance and on sound financial information as basis for investment decision-making, strengthening academic and research institutions by supporting research in its fields of interest. In support of good governance and transparency in business, the foundation has shareholdings in a business information bureau and credit ratings services. Consistent with its thrust, for the centennial celebration of the University
of the Philippines in 2008, the Foundation, together with Equitable
Computer Services Inc., a member of the Equicom Group, donated
computers for the computer laboratory of the IDEA (Information Systems
Design, Education and Applications) Program of the UP Diliman College of
Engineering. |
